Racisme bespreken aan de hand van porno categorieën, dat was het idee waarmee Kelly-Qian deze documentaireserie bij mij neerlegde. Of ik dat samen met haar en Trudi Janssens wilde gaan onderzoeken. Daar kon ik geen nee tegen zeggen.
Het resultaat: 'Sexotisch', een driedelig programma over seksueel racisme. Aan de hand van diverse wetenschappers lopen we op onconventionele manier van de (koloniale) geschiedenis, via de (pseudo) biologie naar de doorwerking hiervan in het heden. Want waar stopt een fetish en wanneer begint racisme?
In de serie stellen we niet alleen dingen aan de kaak, maar halen we ook aannames onderuit.
